My question is....are you this mysterious missing Andrea Ello? (She couldn't possibly be; Ello is 64 years old.) By the way, Ello isn't missing, either - her neighbor and friend was alarmed when she wasn't around - but she wasn't around because they'd taken a trip to Florida - and I'm assuming it was on Andrea's dime. Cafasso 'borrowed' enough money - and then didn't pay it back - so that now Andrea's home is in foreclosure.

CN is calling for information on anyone who can give a physical description and/or provide a picture of Andrea Ello.

Skip that - and just visit CN's website for updates. Ello is not missing and she is not implicated in his con game...she was a lonely heart that he preyed on - and made off with the cash to fund his humanitarian venture!

And was he really using the social security number of a girl in New Jersey called Robin Storm? This part of the story needs to be investigated; I think using someone else's social security number is a felony. That could be the beginning of the end for this guy if the Porter County Sheriff's department decides to do something about his many-year-string-of-lonely-hearts-crimes.

The choice of names seems curious, considering Cafasso likes to call himself "Robin" after the author of the Hunt for Bin Laden, Robin Moore, another guy he tried to scam and take advantage of.

And he needs some serious mental help; he is busy calling anyone who will listen to tell them he and his wife are "afraid" of Larry Sinclair - when he wrote in July of 2008 that he would never be afraid of Sinclair, who he characterizes as a "common criminal".

But let's take a look at that allegation; it is Convington and not Sinclair who has a business that has defrauded enough people through his Piano Store business that his father had to pay over $750,000 in restitution in order to keep the punk out of jail.

Sinclair doesn't have a record like that, LOL!!!

Covington's name actually shows up on the caller ID when he makes these calls for sympathy!

Scott Covington thinks that even though he publishes himself as president and owner of the Piano Store, even though he's listed both under his name and under the business with an address and phone number, even though this is all public information, that somehow - nobody is allowed to give that information out.
Google the piano store in houston texas. Not only does the address come up with a map and phone number, there is also a website for the Piano Store.

On top of that, he has posted on the Piano Forums, and a fellow who is non too happy about his nonexistent piano delivery and the doubletalk he received from Covington about it - and who has a blog on this entire affair with Covington going back to 2005 - Covington somehow believes that nobody should be sharing this information.Is he not aware of the statistics about unethical business practices and the existence of the better business bureau?

The better business bureau has quite a little collection of complaints against Covington's Piano Store's business practices.

This is all completely searchable public information!

He's listed in the phone book, for crying out loud, and in the white pages online; under his name, and his business - with his name printed there.

Scott is following all of the don't's there such as don't suppress information that might damage your reputation, don't deny charges that are relevant and factual, don't spend money for public relations or advertising to counter honest complaints, and don't refuse to accept blame.

Scott Wayne Covington is already doing an exemplary job of doing those things in terms of his affiliation with the crowd at the Mitch and Nan Show, it would appear he never learned that behaviors such as those are not well-received by customers and the public at large.

Just as it was the case with Joe Cafasso, the people who have been conned by Covington need to know they're not alone, and that he thinks he has the upper hand even today, and is determined to silence people who are simply putting the facts out there for all to see.

When I read that Scott Covington ripped people off through his piano store for over $750,000 - and that his dad paid restitution - I couldn't believe it!!!!

This guy deserves a jail sentence - and should serve it; and daddy should get out of the way!

In just one year this man has attempted to defraud people out of more money than a lot of people earn in a lifetime.

Then...I went over to CCA - and the other blogs which were devoted to exposing Cafasso's frauds, and it seems there could be a connection between Cafasso and Covington - or at least Cafasso in some sort of way - and the Mitch and Nan Show's posts.

There's very similar in appearance...when I was looking at the Mitch and Nan Show posts, i thought I was sitting on the Stuporpatriots blog; it's incredible that in such a short period of time we would find ourselves jettisoned back two years to a very similar situation.

Sinclair is going through some of the same exact things that Idema supporters were put through - and Cafasso was behind most of that.

Scott Covington out of Houston, Texas, has a criminal record, but has been stalking Larry Sinclair and his supporters, claiming no one should listen to his allegations because he's a convicted felon.

But it turns out so is Covington; he was convicted as recently as 1993 in Texas for Larceny.

If you wonder why I'm slightly angry on this blog, let me answer that right here and now. Cafasso's behavior has been going on for YEARS absolutely unchallenged and unchecked, supported by people who are either afraid of him, or simply clueless as to what he's accomplishing with his threats and malicious behavior. This looks to me like the behavior of a sick self-centered sadistic child; but this is a grown man. It's one thing to threaten people when you're a young punk on the playground; but a more frightening picture emerges when you realize that this man has threatened people with assassination simply for not getting his way.

At one point, Cafasso even recommended to the Special Operations Command that they assassinate an American advisor [Jack Idema] on the ground in Afghanistan.

Different reports from different witnesses and individuals confirm that this one quote from The Hunt For Bin Laden is not an outlandish or far-fetched piece of the Cafasso story. We've already found that he threatened one person by saying

'I can put your body where no one can find it.'

Another individual we interviewed, when discovered, thought the interviewers were sent by Cafasso, and sank to her knees crying, and said

"I know he sent you here to kill me."

This was a shocking turning point. If we can turn up evidence of this serial behavior so easily, just imagine how many there really are. Furthermore if this man is so deranged that he manipulates people through extortion and death threats with absolutely no fear that he can be stopped, who's to say that he hasn't actually followed through on some of this?

We're going to pick up now where we left off -from Rutenberg's great article, At Fox News, the Colonel Who Wasn't

Discussing Mr. Cafasso's claims that he participated in the rescue attempt, Mr. Buckholz said he talked to several individuals involved. "That was a very closed mission," he said. "And nobody knew a Cafasso. We told Fox that."

Well he's infamous now, when you take into consideration how he and other former Fox Employees have been launched into infamy with moveon.org pushing Greenwald's anti-Fox News diatribe called "OutFoxed".

Fox said a researcher in New York who had clashed with Mr. Cafasso had asked the Spartan Group to look into his record, independently. Only after his departure did executives learn of the inquiry and its results, which did not conclusively disprove his story.

Oh, imagine that. Someone who 'clashed' with Cafasso. And if it was a woman, he would have started it out by scolding her like he's her father..."young lady...."

Still, after several months, Mr. Cafasso began to wear on the nerves of some Fox staff members. For one thing, he did not shy away from telling them they were off-base.

Riiight. Everyone is full of shit but Joe Cafasso, who's so interesting in 'protecting the innocent'.

The Washington bureau chief for Fox News, Kim Hume, finally decided to let him go, people at Fox said, and he decided he was ready to leave. In an e-mail message to the staff, Ms. Hume wrote that Fox's "military and counterterrorism consultant," Mr. Cafasso, "made crucial contributions to our coverage of the war on terror" and helped take "Fox's war coverage to the next level."

Let's leave out the full of shit part, that wouldn't look very good for the network.

Mr. Cafasso, reached on his cellphone, said in a brief interview, "I left because I had enough; I don't like the press." Yet he sent the staff a gracious note. "I opted to depart without fanfare because this is the way I am," he wrote. "One day there, the next not."

You don't like the press? Explain for me then how or why you'd become a member of the Committee of Concerned Journalists under two different names, then! You're like a ghostrider then? One day there, the next not? Because you're onto your next scam, I guess.

That, too, is how former associates describe Mr. Cafasso. Before his arrival at Fox, Mr. Cafasso spent years flitting in and out of military and political circles, impressing people with his stories and disappearing when people began to doubt him.

That's on point! When people figure out the truth, he disappears,only to reemerge as...GERRY BLACKWOOD!

Born in 1956, he graduated from Carteret High School in Carteret, N.J., military records show. He is described by people who know him as an imposing figure with graying hair, tobacco-stained teeth and a gruff voice. He is considered a gifted storyteller whose tales can keep people riveted for hours.

He graduated from Carteret High School? Not according to their names database, but then there's some kind of confusion as to his real age. If he served in Laos as the legend has it, then he must be 56 as he claims, right? Instead of 50. Because if he was really born in 1956, that would make him 50 now, and too young to have even been there. But facts never bother Cafasso! He just hopes people don't look at them because that exposes him as a liar!

It appears Mr. Cafasso was introduced to many of the retired generals with whom he built relationships by Rear Adm. Clarence A. Hill Jr., former commanding officer of the the aircraft carrier Independence and once a colleague of Rear Adm. John M. Poindexter, a former national security adviser.

And were those men drinking or something? That they couldn't figure this guy out?

Mr. Cafasso first met Mr. Hill at a conference in 1997 held by the conservative media group Accuracy in Media, where Admiral Hill spoke about his theory that TWA Flight 800 was shot down by a missile when it crashed off Long Island in July 1996.

Riiight. And Cafasso produced a "newsletter" (yeah he's not interested in the press) called Broken Arrow and later, Cafasso even wrote an article about it at Worldnet Daily.

"He made enough of an acquaintanceship with me at the time to arrange a later meeting, and he had information about TWA 800," Mr. Hill said.

Mr. Cafasso was so enthusiastic about the missile theory that Mr. Hill introduced him to like-minded military men, like Adm. Thomas H. Moorer, former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and William S. Donaldson 3rd, a retired commander in the Navy.

Mr. Cafasso's collaboration with Mr. Donaldson on TWA the crash ended abruptly when Mr. Donaldson asked to see his partner's service records and Mr. Cafasso told him they were sealed, Mr. Hill said. When the records were not provided, Mr. Hill said, Mr. Donaldson, who died last August, ended the collaboration.

So Donaldson figured it out at long last, but he passed away so he can't help us pursue the conman and reveal his many lies and cons, the Flight 800 thing only having been a part of it! He just used that to make more contacts, but how many circles do you make around the group playing duck duck goose? At some point they have to nail you as an idiot, braggart and a liar and flush you from the inner sanctum!

Mr. Hill said he regretted introducing Mr. Cafasso to a group of veterans and American and Serbian activists concerned about the humanitarian conditions in Yugoslavia after the NATO military campaign there. Mr. Cafasso helped the group lobby for aid to the wartorn region, people involved said.

Embarassing, and caused a lot of damage, of this we can be sure.

"He's overwhelmingly convincing," said David Vuich, a member of the Serbian group. "He walks sometimes with a cane and made reference to it being something that he had experienced in Vietnam."

Mr. Cafasso finally had a falling out with some in the advocacy group in late 1999 when they thought he was trying to take over its leadership, several members said.

Because he's unbelievably narcisstic, cold hearted and self centered! People should listen to him even though he's full of shit, I think. That's how he feels about himself; he's so damned smart that everyone else is stupid, even though he's never achieved any of the numerous degrees or gone on most of the exploits he says he has.

Not long afterward Mr. Cafasso began to work with the presidential campaign of Patrick J. Buchanan, helping it collect petitions in Texas and then in Oklahoma and Georgia.

This entire thing is so twisted but entertaining, I am spellbound.

By last summer, he was working, for free, for the crisis-obsessed, politically wired program of Paul Alexander and John Batchelor at WABC Radio in New York. Phil Boyce, the programming director there, said Mr. Cafasso approached the program claiming to have leads on stories but quickly began to overstep his bounds. He was dismissed within a few weeks. "He began to introduce himself as an executive producer and began to tell my employees what to do," Mr. Boyce said. "Once I found out, I put a stop to it."

"Executive Producer"? hahahahaha!

Mr. Vuich of the advocacy group said he was surprised when Mr. Cafasso appeared at a reception at the Yugoslavian embassy in Washington as a representative for Fox News in early November. "How he had managed to wiggle his way into Fox was beyond me," Mr. Vuich said.

At that point Mr. Vuich and two others from the advocacy group, John Saylor and Ben Works, decided to check Mr. Cafasso's military record, the men said in interviews. Mr. Works received Mr. Cafasso's record from the national personnel records bureau in St. Louis and gave it to people at Fox and other Cafasso associates. But Mr. Cafasso had just left the network.

It's a familiar M.O.; run away when you're 'discovered'. This isn't a man who's earned any 'badge of courage' in anyone's book.

Mr. Cafasso has recently been seen on Capitol Hill, representing himself as a consultant for Midwest security company.

On Friday he said he was doing crucial secret work, adding that he could not cooperate because of "national security." On Saturday, he offered an explanation of his work but would not do so for publication.

On Sunday, he sent an e-mail message: "This is nothing more than political assassination by a group of self-centered individuals with their own political agendas, who enjoy half-truths, gossip and hiding behind the press for their own self-worth. I will not be tried by the press and small-minded individuals such as these that have no clue to what is real or not."

OH yeah. He knows all about 'political assassinations' and 'self-centered individuals' with 'agendas' who enjoy half-truths, and small-minded individuals who live for lies, gossip and hiding. Just look for him at the Senton hotel.

At Fox News: The Colonel Who Wasn't by James Rutenberg, New York Times

This great piece was well-researched and was published on April 29, of 2002.

Joseph A. Cafasso knows people - retired admirals, generals, government officials. More to the point, he has said, he knows his way around the netherworld of counterintelligence through contacts he built during a sterling career as a lieutenant colonel in the Special Forces.

That's a joke. He might profess to have built a 'sterling career' as a lieutenant colonel in Special Forces, but the truth is, he was never in, as we will see later on. When you contrast the truth with his story, you just have to be amazed at the brazen-ness of this blabbermouth!

"The Fox News Channel thought it had found an asset when it hired the gruff, barrel-chested former military man as a consultant to help in its coverage of the fighting in Afghanistan.

I suppose 'barrel-chested former military man' really means braggart pretender fat guy who only wished he'd worn a uniform for longer than 44 days.

He claimed to have won the Silver Star for bravery, served in Vietnam and was part of the secret, failed mission to rescue hostages in Iran in 1980.

For more than four months, Mr. Cafasso assisted and shared tips with reporters, producers and on-air consultants.

I wonder what kind of trouble you can get in for telling people you got a Silver Star..or served in Vietnam when you're not even old enough. This guy was born in 1956, which would make him 50 years old now. I've often wondered why I see that he has said he is a full 6 years older - and is 56 now. The reason is-he would have to be that old if his ridiculous story to have fought in Laos on White Star had a morsel of truth to it.

Then on March 11, he abruptly left Fox amid complaints that he had overstepped his bounds and had become an annoyance.

I should say he left 'abruptly'! He'd been found out! How embarrassing!

Soon afterward, Fox News, and many associates of Mr. Cafasso, learned that his office style may have been the least of his problems.

This is where it starts to get really good.

The real story, many people say, was that he [Cafasso] was not who he said he was.

Cafasso released a statement on Sunday in which he said he was the victim of a "gossip campaign" by "self-centered individuals with their own political agendas."

Boy, he really knows how to slop them hogs, don't he?

People at Fox News had taken his credentials at face value. So had the presidential campaign of Patrick J. Buchanan, for which he was an organizer; WABC radio in New York; and several representatives, military officials and activists to whom he had sold himself for years.

Can you say...SUCKER? What is wrong with these people who take things at face value and don't even check out the ridiculous things that people say about themselves or say on their resumes? Jeez! Since there are more and more people out there who are presenting themselves as what they're obviously not, padding their resumes, and the increasing incidents of military wannabe posers guys - including Brian Dennehey - people should be doing more checking on guys like this! Particularly slime balls who know how to use tools that law enforcement and private dicks use - like autotrack!

But records indicate that his total military experience was 44 days of boot camp at Fort Dix, N.J., in May and June 1976, and his "honorable" discharge as a private, first class.

This private first class thing is thrown even more into question when you consider that you can't get that rank - which is above private - until you're assigned to a unit. This guy never got to that stage.

Mr. Cafasso had promised to appear at The New York Times to provide documents contradicting records that he only served in boot camp but never appeared. Military officials said they had no record of anyone named Joseph Cafasso retiring as an lieutenant colonel.

Alothough Colonel seems to be the rank of a lot of fakes out there. Yeah, Joe, whatever happened to that meeting and your proving exactly who you are? You knew when you made that promise that you didn't have shit to back yourself up now, didn't you?

Mr. Cafasso, it appears, has used his story of battlefield glories to make friends, find work, and perhaps most importantly, find acceptance among people who walk the fringes of Washington's power corridors, networking his way through a community of retired military officers to arrive at Fox News.

That’s right, and he has a ton of those stuffed in his little bag of tricks. Guess you forgot, Joe, that ‘tricks are for kids!’

Fox News would not be the first news organization to be deceived. The New York Times in March reported the account of a former Russian army officer who said he fled the fighting in Chechnya in 1999 to escape pressure to kill civilians. On Saturday, The Times quoted Russian officials and acquaintances as saying he was not serving in the army at the time.

That's a noteworthy point. Fox news wasnt the first news organization to be conned. There is a connection between him and the Russians, he even came out and said so on his stupid blog...

Fox News executives acknowledged that they now think that Mr. Cafasso was not who he said he was. But they said that the information he gathered never led to any known mistakes and that he had a network of military sources - built, apparently, on the strength of his stories.

Since I'm past the stage of setting this thing up, we're going to go ahead and talk about the different things that I'm aware of that Cafasso has done, and some of the things that I'm surprised he has the balls to attempt doing...not to mention brag about having done.

This is a man who wanted Jack Idema killed. If you think Idema is an ass, that's all well and good, but what kind of person would be filled with so much hatred for other people that he would celebrate that person's death? That he would pursue the idea of having that person killed, or even celebrate the idea of that person dying?

What kind of sick asshole is he? This is what I'm going to bitch about, and if you don't like it, you can bite me.
